Supply Centre Manager

Bass Coast Festival is hiring a Supply Centre Manager.


The position is responsible for inventory management, including maintaining levels, conducting audits, and implementing controls. They lead and supervise the Supply Centre and Packing Teams for seamless coordination. Their role includes being present at the centre, monitoring operations, ensuring accurate handover of items, maintaining packing lists, and managing inventory flow for timely order fulfilment.

The successful candidate must be available to be on the festival site from June 30 - July 19, 2024 and available for minimal advance planning hours from May - July  2024.


Bass Coast is a thoughtfully curated boutique electronic music and art festival held in Merritt, BC on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Nlaka’pamux and Syilx people.

Moving into its 16th year, Bass Coast is an independent & artist owned festival with accolades that include two consecutive wins of DJ Mag’s ‘Best Boutique Festival in North America’, 'Best Midsize Festival in Canada' by Canada Music Awards, and 'Best Music Festival in Vancouver' runner-up by the Georgia Straight Vancouver.


  • Ensure detailed inventory spreadsheets are completed by all departments
  • Assist with purchasing request review
  • Purchase the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price
  • Assess supply requests with Production Manager and Liz Thomson
  • Unpack containers, assemble and distribute department inventory during the festival
  • Collect all receipts and coordinate receipt system with accounting daily
  • Ensure proper sign-out and return procedures for inventory
  • Receive all deliveries that come to the site
  • Work closely with all department managers
  • Pack inventory into containers post-festival
  • Train assistant and volunteer team
  • Participate in meetings when needed.
  • Other duties as required.


  • 3+ years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a festival or events environment
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Practical experience with spreadsheets (Google Sheets).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of supply chain and logistics principles, including inventory forecasting and replenishment
  • High level of critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness and curiosity to learn
  • Enjoys organizing, establishing and managing priorities with a sense of urgency
  • Self-motivated and willing to work alone or collaboratively with fellow colleagues
  • Capable of working in a constantly evolving environment
  • Passion for the high-pressure and fast-paced environment of festival production
  • Experience working or attending festivals and/or events is an asset
  • Must be legally eligible to work unrestricted in Canada.


Contract Duration:

May - July 2024: Must be available for minimal pre-show planning hours.

June 30 - July 19, 2024: On the festival site. 

July 12 - July 14, 2024: Days off during showtime.


Flat rate contract: $4,850

The successful candidate will be able to work both independently and work remotely via zoom with team members. In-person meetings may be required.
