ABOUT BASS COAST
Bass Coast Festival is a thoughtfully curated boutique music and art festival that is held on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Nlaka’pamux and Syilx people. Moving into its 15th year, Bass Coast has garnered a global reputation for showcasing innovative international talent and providing a springboard for Canadian artists.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE
Bass Coast Festival is seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team. As Washroom Attendant and Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our staff and artist washrooms and showers and ensuring that only individuals with the appropriate credentials have access to them.

The successful candidates must be available to be on the festival site from June 25 - July 14, 2023. There will a morning and evening shift available.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Clean and sanitize the artist and staff washroom facilities, including toilets, showers, sinks, mirrors, floors, and other surfaces on a regular basis
• Check credentials to ensure that only individuals with the appropriate credentials have access to them.
• Restock supplies such as toilet paper, soap, paper towels, and air fresheners
• Empty trash bins and replace liners as needed
• Follow established cleaning procedures and protocols to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
• Report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate supervisor
• Respond to requests related to washroom facilities in a polite and professional manner
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines to prevent the spread of infections and ensure a safe environment for all
• Other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Prior experience in custodial or janitorial work is preferred but not mandatory
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Ability to work independently and efficiently, with attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers and coworkers
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects, and standing for extended periods
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required

HOURS AND COMPENSATION

June 25 - July 14, 2023: On the festival site.

Compensation:
Flat rate contract: $20.00/hr
