POSITION | DESCRIPTION |
ADMINISTRATION | Administration volunteers provide office support to the Volunteer Center and Staff Gate. Applicants for this team should possess strong organisational and interpersonal skills, a keen attention to detail, and have office administrative experience. (Admin Shifts available: July 1st - 19th). |
TEAM KITCHEN | Team Kitchen volunteers assist the Team Kitchen Staff cook two delicious and healthy meals daily. Applicants for Crew Kitchen must have FOODSAFE Level 1 Certification and kitchen experience. (Team Kitchen Shifts available: July 1st - 19th) |
FIRST AID | First Aid volunteers keep Bass Coast attendees safe by providing resources, information, and first responder services at the First Aid centre and throughout the festival grounds. Applicants for this team must have an active First Aid Certification of Level 1 or higher. (First Aid Shifts available: July 9 - July 16) |
STORES | Store volunteers provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the three retail locations at Bass Coast, selling merchandise, sundries and ice. Applicants should be outgoing, organised, self-directed, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. (General Store Shifts available: July 7 - July 16) |
GREEN TEAM | Green Team volunteers set up systems and facilities that keep Bass Coast clean and help take care of the grounds we are fortunate to enjoy. Applicants for this team must be comfortable working outside during their shift in variable weather conditions. (Green Team Shifts available: July 5 - July 18) |
HARM REDUCTION | Harm Reduction volunteers keep Bass Coast attendees safe by providing resources, information and support in the Harm Reduction and throughout the festival grounds. Harm Reduction applicants are encouraged to have: - Level 1 First Aid or higher - Degree in Social Work, Nursing or Human Services - Teaching or Counseling education - Pharmacology/Chemistry background - Experience delivering Harm Reduction or Mental Health Services - Experience in Sexual Assault Prevention Applicants for this team must include a criminal record check from the last 18 months. (Harm Reduction Shifts available: July 9 - July 16) |
HOSPITALITY | Hospitality volunteers provide exceptional customer service in Bass Coast's bars and service areas. Applicants for this team should have: - Previous experience volunteering on the Hospitality team - Bartending experience (Hospitality Shifts available: July 9 - July 15) *Note: positions on this team are very limited. Please ensure you apply for at least two additional team options. |
LOST AND FOUND | Lost and Found volunteers play a pivotal role in receiving and returning lost items. They assist in managing our designated Lost and Found area, where they receive lost items and facilitate their return to their rightful owners. Applicants for this role should possess strong communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have a helpful and empathetic demeanour. Volunteers should also be comfortable working in a dynamic and sometimes fast-paced environment. (Lost and Found Shifts available: July 10 - July 15) |
GATES | Gate volunteers provide an enthusiastic welcome to attendees of Bass Coast, scanning tickets, providing basic directions and answering simple questions. Being the first faces festival-goers encounter, they aim to ensure a warm, inviting atmosphere, making everyone feel welcomed and at ease. Applicants for this team should be outgoing, able to work in fast-paced environments and comfortable working outside for the duration of their shift in variable weather conditions. (Gate Shifts available: July 10 - July 14) |
PARKING | Parking volunteers play an essential role, enthusiastically welcoming attendees and directing the flow of traffic through the festival grounds. Being the first faces festival-goers encounter, they aim to ensure a warm, inviting atmosphere, making everyone feel welcomed and at ease. Applicants for this team must be comfortable working outside during their shift in variable weather conditions. (Parking Shifts available: July 7 - July 16) |
POWER TEAM | Power Team volunteers keep the power running smoothly before, during, and after the event. Applicants for this team should have electrical and cable knowledge and be comfortable doing manual labour for extended periods in variable weather conditions. Electricians are preferred for this position. (Power Team Shifts available: July 5 - July 18) |
SITE CARPENTRY (Pre-Show Only) |
Site Carpentry volunteers construct the various environments of Bass Coast, working in small teams on multiple projects throughout their time on-site. All applicants for this team must be available for a 4-day shift during the period of July 1 - July 11, have previous carpentry experience and be comfortable doing manual labour in any type of weather during their shift. (Site Carpentry Shifts available: July 1 - July 11) |
SITE LABOUR (Pre-Show Only) |
Site Labour volunteers are responsible for unpacking, organising, arranging, and keeping track of materials essential to bringing Bass Coast to life. Applicants for Site Labour must be available for a 4-day shift during the period of July 1 - July 11 and be comfortable doing manual labour for extended periods in variable weather conditions. (Site Labour Shifts available: July 1 - July 11) |
SITE OPERATIONS | Site Operations volunteers keep the Bass Coast site running smoothly during the event. Applicants for this team should have basic power tools and construction knowledge and be comfortable doing manual labour for extended periods of time in variable weather conditions. (Site Ops Shifts available: July 5 - July 18) |
TEAR DOWN (Post-Show Only) |
Tear Down volunteers help to dismantle and pack away the structures and environments that create Bass Coast. Applicants for this team must be available from July 15 - July 19 and be able to perform manual labour in any type of weather. (Tear Down Shifts available: July 15 - July 19) |
TRANSPORTATION DRIVER | Drivers provide safe transport for artists, special guests and provide production support for running errands. Shift hours can vary and can include very early mornings and late evenings. Class 5 license required. (Driver shifts available: July 5 - July 16) |
