The position is responsible for leading the construction and dismantling of bar infrastructure on the festival site. The successful candidate will work closely with the Bar Manager and Site Carpentry team to ensure bar service areas and related structures are built safely and efficiently.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Work with the Bar Manager and Site Carpentry team to understand bar construction plans and site requirements.
- Lead the setup and teardown of bar structures including service areas, seating, floors, signage, and fencing.
- Manage and support volunteers assisting with bar construction and site builds.
- Ensure bar structures and surrounding areas are built safely and according to site plans.
- Assist with inventory and ensure bar materials and kit pieces are labelled and stored appropriately.
- Assist the Site Carpentry Manager with additional site construction projects if bar carpentry work is completed ahead of schedule.
- Support general festival setup and teardown with the Site Carpentry team.
- Adhere to project timelines and assigned budgets.
- Perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Experience with carpentry, construction, or structural builds.
- Experience working on festival, event, or temporary site builds is an asset.
- Experience supervising volunteers or small build crews.
- Ability to interpret build plans and follow construction layouts.
- Strong organizational and problem solving abilities.

- Keep the festival area and campgrounds clean
- Coordinate and contribute to the Green Team plan
- Support the managers in each department in their efforts to minimize waste and coordinate specific department needs
- Liaise with all suppliers who support the Green Team
- Coordinate all waste, recycling, and compost transfer schedules
- Set up all recycling / waste / compost stations
- Organize and install all Green Team signage
- Schedule and manage all Green Team crew and volunteers

OVERVIEW OF ROLE
We're seeking an exceptional Lead Campaign Designer to lead the visual direction for the Bass Coast 2027 campaign. Bass Coast is recognized globally for its forward-thinking visual identity that pushes creative boundaries. Our design aesthetic is intelligent, ahead of trends, and distinctly recognizable.
This project position begins March 2026 and all deliverables are due April 30 2026. The role offers a unique opportunity to shape the 2027 visual identity of one of North America's most forward-thinking festivals.
IMPORTANT: The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of and involvement in creating artwork for underground electronic music culture, as well as a deep understanding of the rich history of design that has evolved within the scene over time.

- Concept Phase: Create and present 3 unique, fully-developed concepts for the 2027 campaign direction.
- Refinement Phase: Collaboration with the Bass Coast team to finalize one selected direction.
- Execution Phase: Creation of a comprehensive brand guideline document, a design kit with templates and specific direction specifications for the graphic and marketing team to reference throughout the year.
Deliverables
- Complete a comprehensive brand guidelines document including typography, colour systems, graphic treatments, and usage rules.
- Develop a design kit with templates and assets adaptable across social media, web, print posters, merchandise, signage, and video content.
- Create a modular Brand Asset Library including reusable backgrounds, iconography, GIF stickers, motion graphics elements, visual motifs to enable consistent, scalable execution across marketing and design teams.

Art direction specifications for the media and graphic design teams to execute consistently throughout the campaign.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Experience
- 3-5+ years professional design experience with a portfolio demonstrating bold, conceptual campaign work.
- Creation of over 5 original artwork posters or flyers for underground electronic music events.
- A passion and deep understanding of the type of music and art presented at Bass Coast, as well as the larger branding trends across the electronic music industry.
- Proven ability to create cohesive visual systems that work across diverse applications.
- Experience developing brand guidelines and design systems Experience working at or attending music festivals or large events is an asset
- Experience with 2D motion graphics and video editing is highly preferred.
- Must have attended over 10 underground electronic music events in the past 5 years.

- Manage volunteers, supervise changeovers, and ensure volunteers have water, bathroom breaks etc.
- Monitor and enforce the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for volunteers.
- Establish positive relationships with all managers onsite, specifically Security, First Aid, and Harm Reduction.
- Assist with staff orientation (traffic flow, radio protocol, security concerns).
- Act as Manager when Parking Manager is off duty.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Experience with festival or large event parking and traffic management.

- TPC certification is an asset but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Conduct regular inspections of festival grounds, including stages, tents, booths, and temporary and permanent structures.
- Prioritise inspections of high-traffic and high-risk structures such as bridges, staircases, and railings.
- Identify safety hazards and ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations and relevant industry standards.
- Document findings, communicate risk assessments to relevant departments, and recommend control measures.
- Submit detailed daily reports highlighting safety concerns and resolutions.
- Provide a comprehensive final report at the festival’s conclusion.
- Perform follow-up inspections to confirm that corrective actions have been implemented.
- Liaise with department managers to resolve safety issues efficiently.
- Support Bass Coast’s ongoing commitment to harm reduction, sustainability, and a safe working environment for all participants.
- Review daily findings with the Reporting Manager and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Knowledge of WorkSafeBC Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
- Experience conducting workplace or site safety inspections.
- Ability to identify and assess risks across diverse environments.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
- Confidence working collaboratively with multiple departments under tight timelines.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Practical experience with spreadsheets (Google Sheets) and Google WorkSpace.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to transportation to Merritt, B.C.
- Experience working in event or festival environments is an asset.
- Occupational First Aid Level 1 or higher certification is an asset.
- Enjoys organizing and managing priorities with a sense of urgency.
