Education Series
No Single Use
Please do your part. Bring reusable containers. Lead by example and reduce your impact. Bass Coast bars and food vendors are equipped to allow the use of reusable containers. Our bars use reusable cups from Sharewares.
Skip the Glow Sticks
Use a flashlight instead of single-use glow sticks.
Borrow or Buy Secondhand
Borrow or buy secondhand instead of buying new gear for the festival.
Avoid Plastic Packaging
Buy food from bulk bins in your own containers. Avoid unnecessary plastic packaging.
Deconstruct Packaging
Deconstruct packaging and recycle before you get to the festival, so you don't bring it onto the grounds.
The essentials worth packing first. Bass Coast bars and food vendors are equipped for reusables - bring these four and skip the single-use pile-up entirely.
Plates, Bowls & Cutlery
Present your reusable plates, bowls and cutlery to food and bar vendors, and wash them at the Eco Hub afterward.
Hot & Cold Vessels
Bring your own insulated hot/cold beverage vessel with a lid, for use at bars and vendors.
Reusable Water Bottle
Bring your own reusable water bottle — there are no single use water bottles for sale on site.
Big Water Jug
Bring a refillable BPA-free durable plastic water reservoir for camp drinking water.
Bass Coast partners with ShareWares to provide reusable cups at all bars. When you purchase a drink, it'll come in a ShareWares cup for no extra charge. Once you're finished with your drink, please make sure to put your cup in one of the white ShareWares bins before you leave the bar area. All cups are collected and sent back to ShareWares' commercial facility in Vancouver to be washed and used again. So far Bass Coast has eliminated 17,000 unnecessary single-use cups — and counting!
