COVID-19 Response For 2021 Ticket Holders

Bass Coast would like to acknowledge that we collaborate, celebrate, and innovate on the shared traditional territories of the Nłeʔkepmx and Syilx. This would have been our ninth year at the Merritt Festival site and many of you have been with us for the entire thirteen year journey. We thank you all.

After carefully considering the information available to us at this time, we are making the difficult decision to postpone the 2021 edition of Bass Coast Festival to July 8-11, 2022 (dates subject to change). Without knowing what public health measures will be in place this July, we lack the critical information necessary to contract infrastructure, book artists and secure vendors. We feel this decision aligns with our commitment to delivering a safe, immersive experience of the highest calibre.

Tickets purchased for 2021 and subsequent years will be bumped one year forward. This is disappointing news to communicate, but we are optimistic about 2022. We are committed to using this time to plan a safe and cutting-edge event. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

To mark the weekend of this year’s event, Bass Coast Festival presents Pixel Virtual festival July 8 & 9, 2021.

The original ticket re-allocation was spread out over 3 years 2021, 2022 & 2023.

The new ticket re-allocation:

  • If your ticket was re-allocated for 2021 it is now valid in 2022
  • If your ticket was re-allocated for 2022 it is now valid in 2023
  • If your ticket was re-allocated for 2023 it is now valid in 2024

Sorry that you can’t make it. Transferring tickets is quick and easy and is controlled from your download page. Please double check the year of the ticket for sale in your download page.

  • Scroll down to the end of your download page and click the "Transfer Your Tickets" link. Your download page can be accessed via your original ticket purchase email (click here if you’ve lost the email).
  • Select the tickets you’d like to transfer, fill in the recipient’s info and we’ll email them a link to claim their tickets.
  • Once they’ve claimed their tickets we’ll cancel your originals and create new tickets for the recipient.

Until the recipient claims their tickets you’ll have the option to cancel the transfer. Once the recipient claims the tickets the transfer becomes permanent.

  • The amount paid to date is now a credit in the form of a promo code.
  • Each payment plan order was sent an email from Bass Coast Festival in May 2020 (tickets@tickit.ca) with this promo code & the year which the ticket(s) is valid for.
  • In April 2021 all promo codes will be moved one year forward and you will receive a confirmation email.

  • Bass Coast General Admission and Thursday Entry remain non refundable. https://basscoast.tickit.ca/terms
  • General Admission & Thursday Entry tickets still hold their full value and reallocated to one of the next three years.
  • Refunds have been processed for all add-ons including: volunteer deposits, vehicle passes, cabins, bell tents, reserved campsites, and pre-order t-shirts. 
  • The credit appeared on your statement within 10 days of Apr 27, 2020.
  • Please note that credit card and ticketing fees cannot be refunded.
  • Unfortunately, our cancellation insurance policy does not cover pandemics.
  • The 2020 tickets needed to be allocated over multiple years to spread out the financial strain resulting from the costs of postponement. 
  • Our system ensures the quality of the event, and that the value of the ticket maintains its full value.

The dates are currently scheduled for July 8-11, 2022.

  • The future impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on society may result in prolonged social distancing and or limits to how we gather. Bass Coast Festival will follow the guidelines of the BC Health Authority. 
  • We are moving forward with planning to host Bass Coast in July of 2022.  If the health authorities deem it unsafe to host the festival in 2022, this full plan will slide forward a year.  
  • If it is not permitted to hold the festival in 2022, all 2022 tickets will be valid in 2023, 2023 will move to 2024 and 2024 will be valid in 2025
